Starring: Johnny Holmes, Annette Haven (not in film credits), Felecia Sanda, Veronica Taylor, Joan Devlin, Paul Stifferia (no sex scene).
The film starts with Johnny and Annette. How they could leave her out of the credits is beyond me. Johnny goes down on her but is interrupted by a phone from his friend, Dan Kelly(Paul Stifferia). Dan needs Johnny's help so Johnny tells Annette he has to leave! Is he crazy? Leaving Annette? No one in their right mind would do that. She convinces (by begging) him to stay. Annette then proceeds to give Johnny a tremendous blow-job. She makes tender love to his monster C**K, slowly caressing it and taking it in and out her mouth. Some women do not look good or at ease with a mouthful of C**K, but Annette's beauty is only enhanced. Johnny then slides into Annette and she enjoys him to the fullest. This scene is the highlight of the film and worth the price of the tape.
Johnny then drives to Mexico to help his friend. Johnny narrates the plot of story as he drives. On the way, Johnny stops by a beach and has a flashback to a woman he once met on the beach. The flashback lasts about five seconds. I guess the scene was edited out. Sam is a narcotics officer trying to bust a big drug pusher named Travis. It so happens that Sam's ex-wife, Doreen (Veronica Taylor), is now a heroin addict and is with the drug pusher. As Dan tells Johnny this, the scene is shifted to Doreen and Travis. Doreen wants to shoot-up but Travis wants some sex first. She just lays there while he penetrates her. This scene is somewhat abbreviated. I do not know if this was due to the editing or it was the director's way of showing the downside of being addicted.
Back with Johnny and Dan, they are attacked by some bad guys and a fist fight takes place. Johnny and Dan lose, then get taken to jail by the police. They convince the police captain that they are good guys so they agree to work together to get the bad guys. Before they go find some informants, Johnny wants to look-up an old friend (Felecia Sanda). Turns out she can't wait to get reacquainted with Johnny. He first reintroduces his tongue to her pussy to warm her up. Then he slides his big rod in. The scene ends after he takes her from behind and leaves his wad on her ass.
Johnny and Dan then meet at bar to find the informant. She directs them to two different people. Sam just goes and talks to one (only Johnny gets the women) while Johnny is the knight in shining armor to the other (Joan Devlin). It turns out the pusher killed her husband and she wants revenge. She is also lonely and horny so Johnny takes care of her. She releases a year of harbored-up passion as Johnny does her multiple ways.
The next day Johnny and Dan meet to compare notes. Dan is killed by the bad guys. Johnny must now seek revenge. He goes and gets his gun. He finds the drug pusher and Doreen, but the drug pusher is waiting from him and easily takes Johnny's gun away. Let's face it, Johnny is a great stud, not a good detective. But Doreen saves Johnny by shooting the drug pusher. Johnny still needs to find the drug factory. With the help of the police, they find it and kill all the rest of the bad guys in a big shoot-out.
Johnny then consoles Doreen on her loss (remember, Dan was her only true love). Johnny consoles her the only way he knows how. Doreen is much better in this scene. They have a good tender love-making scene.
I do not know if this was the first Johnny Wadd film but based on the year of its release, 1976, this would have been one of the first if not the first. This film had a big budget for the time based on the filmography contained in the film. It tries to blend mainstream film storyline with sexual scenes. Considering the time when it was made it, it succeeded, but the film industry (both mainstream and adult) has changed tremendously in the last 25 years. This film depicts the evil of illegal drug use and how the drug industry ravages the lives everyone associated with it. The film ends with Johnny on the beach narrating how drugs are no good and cause pain in everyone's lives. The whole film tried to make this point. This is a historical significant film from that perspective. It comes about as close to a mainstream film as an adult film can. While some of the scenes seem out-of-date, they are. Camera equipment has improved drastically. Special effects have improved also. The sex videos of today are made with a completely different premise - the VCR. So if you are looking for the hot sex, stick with today's videos. If you are looking for something a little different, a story, characters with good lovemaking, check this film out.
The film is fairly erotic. It uses the storyline to help create good erotic sex scenes. The sex scenes are not hot, pounding or raunchcy. They fit well with storyline and are well done. The music that accompanies the scenes also enhance the scenes.
As I stated earlier, the scene between Johnny and Annette is a classic.
There were two things that stood out - the special effects and choreography of the fighting scenes leaves much to be desired and the abbreviated sex scene of Veronica could have been handled better.
This is a It is a good film to see from the historical perspective. But if you are looking for hot and heavy sex, look elsewhere.

Personal Review
Johnny Wadd, the private investigator character created by Bob Chinn, would become the eternal pseudonym for legend John Curtis Holmes. This is the first of a series of the four classics directed by Chinn and produced by Christain; the others are Liquid Lips ’76, The Jade Pussycat ’77 and China Cat in ’78 and are the first “series” in porn history. Here, Wadd is south of the border dealing with a drug cartel that turned his friend’s x-wife into a heroin addict. I think it is the weakest of the four, so I edited it because it moves so slow in places. But, when I taped this, I didn’t realize that terrible acting with a serious plot is part of the humor in the Wadd series. Now, I realize only a true connoisseur of porn can really appreciate this. So, if you like the King, baby, this is a classic and a must see! PR 3+
Sex Scene Sequence
1. Johnny and the magnificently beautiful Annette are at it when the phone rings. He has to go, but she begs him to finish what he started, and of course he does.
2. A bad guy fucks his drug addict girl Doreen on the floor. She just lays there.
3. Johnny does it with an old fling in Mexico. He pulls out and cums on her ass.
4. From the bar Johnny takes a dark skinned, long haired Mexican back to her place and yes, gives her the wad.
5. After Johnny gets revenge in the famous bar scene, he does his way with his dead friend’s x-wife Doreen the drug addict on the couch.
