Bodies in Heat DVD Description: "Herschel Savage stars as the ubiquitous hard-boiled private eye in this classic sexvid. He's a rough and tumble stud who never turns down a job -- or a lady. He gets the action rolling by taking on dispatcher Janey Robbins in a heated rendezvous, and things only get hotter from there. Herschel's got a thick little cutie of an assistant in Lisa De Leeuw, but it seems that he's only got eyes for his clients or subjects. Just his luck, he gets a call from gorgeous Annette Haven about a stolen antique watch. Of course, once Herschel lays his eyes on Haven's delectable form, he knows that he must have her. Which he does in a spectacularly erotic tryst. From that point the flick becomes a hardcore variant on 'Double Indemnity,' with Savage and Haven plotting to bump off her murderous husband (Eric Edwards). There are a few more plot twists along the way, as well as a good bit of body-to-body rocking. Some of the tastiest tarts in early 80s porn are on hand for this one, including Kimberly Carson, Raysheena and the lushly curvaceous Lisa De Leeuw. 'Bodies in Heat #1' was a huge hit upon its original release and still holds up today as a first-rate dose of erotic entertainment."

Another porn spinoff of a then contemporary mainstream hit, in this case "Body Heat". Despite the presence of a heavyweight cast (Annie, yet again, accompanied by Herschel Savage, Eric Edwards, Lisa De Leeuw (non-sex role) and a short-haired Kimberly Carson) and an apparently ample budget (by porn standards), the normally very effective Paul Vatelli doesn't manage to create a very convincing film this time around. The plot is unconvincing and by the end borders on the ludicrous. Thankfully, Vatelli is on form when it comes to the sex scenes, most notable being the ones between Herschel-Kimberly Carson and then Herschel-Annette Haven (of course :-)). A decent choice for a couple and certainly a good film by any standards, but still nowhere near the expected standards of the Golden Age.

Personal Review
This is an early 80s, couples, porn classic with good acting and a decent story inspired from a popular Hollywood production. It is a well directed movie with one of the best acting performances of Hershel Savage’s long carnal career! Also, it is the earliest Kimberly Carson I have in my collection with noteworthy performances by Annette, Janey and Desiree. All the sex scenes are good, but none are really nasty, wet or anal and only SS1 is creative. This is a solid porn movie which has it all, but nothing that stands out as being extraordinaryly different or great. PR 4--
Sex Scene Sequence
1. Four hookers are picked up off the street and taken downtown for a line up. Detective Harry Reed (Savage) asks them to strip and bend over so the victum can identify the culprit. Afterwards, Harry picks # 4 (Janey) to stay for further inspection. Freedom has its price!
2. After hours, Harry and his girlfriend (Kimberly) who is a police officer get together at his place for the usual romp in bed.
3. Wealthy married couple, Lawrence (Edwards) and Mora Sullivan (Annette) do their usual boring fuck before bed.
4. Harry comes over to see Mora and she derobes as she walks down the stairs. Then, have a heated fuck in the living room on the Persian rug.
5. At a pool party, there are at least three naked couples folicing around (Raysheena gets fingered on the recliner next to Herschel; others are unknown). Marty (Dee) takes red head (Lisa) inside, but she doesn’t feel like it and leaves, so a party girl (Desiree) takes her place. They fuck on the sectionals.
