I can’t believe that this movie is twenty years old. I’m not sure how that makes me feel. Kind of amazed that my old VHS copy still plays and it also has me wondering once again about what happened to Keli Richards and Buffy Davis. They were two of the best dirty girls of the 80’s and we have to wonder what ever became of them. This movie also features that sunning trio of 80’s meat slingers, Tom Byron, Marc Wallice and Peter North. Rambone joins them and I think he may have only appeared in movies with Buffy in them. I’m not sure if this title is available on DVD yet…OK I know now. That took a whole three seconds. Hollywood has released it on disc so you may want to check it out on that format. I doubt if too many stores have it on VHS. (At what point do these tapes become antiques anyway?)
Buffy and Keli are neighbors and friends. When Buffy comes by to collect the rent, Keli tells her that she has just heard the worst news. She’s listening through the walls to what she thinks is Tom Byron getting bad medical news. (He’s really just talking to his doctor friend about his car.) Before they can worry too much about that, Keli puts the moves on Buffy in exchange for the rent. Since Buffy’s husband Marc is cheating on her in another apartment, the arrangement works out well for the best redhead. These two girls are loud and very energetic in any scene. We keep cutting away from them to watch Wallice stick it to a thin brunette girl. Normally I wouldn’t be too upset about losing out on a girl/girl scene, but the action is better with the chicks than with Wallice. Right in the middle of the lesbian action, Dick Rambone comes in looking to rent an apartment. We go back to low-energy scene with Wallice and the other girl. She has a nice looking face, but seems bored. There is no great moment of revelation for the girls and the Rambone cock. Instead we return to that room with the girls sharing that big thing. (He has to squeeze it so hard at the base that it looks like he’s making balloon animals.) Since the action moves back and forth it really never gets going like it should. I am so glad that porn stopped doing this. It killed so many great scenes for me. Most of the scenes are too short to begin with and when you chop them up it can be even more annoying. The Rambone scene is pretty much a waste and that’s too bad because it’s always fun watching Keli and Buffy work with a big cock. Starring: Buffy Davis and Marc Wallice are married and manage an apartment building. Tom Byron, Peter North, Kelli Richards, Tanya Foxx, and Lori Marr are tenants. Dick Rambone is a visitor looking for an apartment and getting a threesome with Buffy and Kelly, after the women eavesdrop on a conversation between Peter, a doctor, and Tom. Peter tells Tom the transmission in his car is shot beyond repair, and Buffy and Kelly think Tom is dying. The rest of the film has every woman trying to make Tom happy during his last days, and also Peter and Marc. As you can tell, this is not quite what is says in the synopsis. Also, Regine Bardot does not appear. The performances were all very good.
Every scene is shot in a middle-class apartment room, so the sets don't amount to much. The technical details are very well done. There is, alas, some intercutting between scenes, but it is not done too often.
This is a cast that smokes, and the director is Hal Freeman, who made this about the same time as Caught From Behind #4, one of the hottest films of the mid-80's. The action is first class, and Freeman captured it with great skill.
This is theonly film I have seen with Lori Marr, and she nearly steals it from her better-known costars. She is beautiful, slender brunette, and does a scene each with Marc, Peter, and Tom. After such a great performance as this, you would think she should have got a lot of job offers.
The cheap set and silly plot. Also, while Dick Rambone was very well hung, his personality was pretty lame.
The quality of the sex makes up for the weakness, and it is a very solid 8.
