Shooter DVD Description: "Lori is a lonely, disturbed swf moving through the dark eros of the singles ads. Unfortunately, the lady has taken a shotgun approach to dating. And needless to say... cupid's arrows are hardly her weapon of choice."

Miles' Movie Review (1)

Miles' Rating:  4 Stars

Starring: Director Ren Savant returns after his award-winning "Seven Deadly Sins" with his more conventional porn knock-off of the Al Pacino thriller "Sea of Love. " Well-cast Mike Horner plays a detective out to discover who is killing men whose only connection appears to be their personal ads. It turns out they've all dated --and humped-- silky Lori Michaels.

The film has the appropriate dark and hazy look, and the performers are all up to the task, especially Michaels, who aces her hole as the demanding bitch in bed. Sharon Mitchell, who's made a second career playing controlling moms, is even better. One major complaint: the pacing is slow.

Michaels who dominates the film, is featured in most of the sex scenes and gives the production a raunchiness as she flips off or on. This is sex with an edge.

That Mitchell and Horner, much older than in their glory days, are solid enough actors to pull it all off. The sex is never dull, thanks to Michaels' aggressive attitude. And the ending, which seems predictable with it's hits, proves just the opposite.

It's too slack in spots, and has too many subplots, especially one quickie with Inari Vachs, that adds little to the film. They should have been trimmed.

A solid 8. It's not up to "Seven Deadly Sins," but certainly worth watching.
