Starring: Before there were the "Up and Cummers" videos, Alex deRenzy gave us a more stylish and far more erotic example of how it could be done. Here, he features John Leslie as both a performer and narrator introducing us to some of the new faces deRenzy believed would carry porn into a new era. Whether deRenzy was sincere or shoveling it we'll never know, but "Ball Busters," now on DVD, spotlights two soon-to-be superstars and other strong actresses who would make an impression.
All shot in the same house (notice the wall paper and bed clothes never change), the film was inexpensive, but without feeling cheap. De Renzy's strategy: Let the girls work their charms. And they do.
Erotic? Hell, yes. With Ginger Lynn and Nina Hartley seducing their men, it doesn't get much sexier than this.
You can see what terrific actresses these babes were destined to become. Lois Ayres does her standard badass bit as a punker getting a rough body search by Jamie Gillis and Dan Mann; Hartley (armed with her gorgeous ass)plays John Leslie's seductive sister-in-law; and, best of all, a ballsy Ginger Lynn plays the family tramp who forces (yes, forces) the hired help (Dan Mann again) to drill her in the ass.
The only scene that sags is the girl-girl between tanned and muscular Gina Carrera and pasty, pudgy Jacqueline Lorians. Gina deserved better. There's also a sexy, but weak closer featuring a solo Joanna Storm demonstrating the fine art of fingering.
