It doesn't seem that long ago that I mad this movie my 200th video review. Nearly 800 video and 200 DVD reviews later, I get to sit down and watch what I consider to be a classic adult film on DVD. Given the VCA track record for quality DVD transfers, I would say that this John Leslie masterpiece has a really good chance of being granted instant classic in this format as well.
For those of you who may have seen Leslie's 'The Chameleon', this movie makes a big deal about not being a sequel to the Torri Welles/Tom Byron/Victoria Paris film. Instead it takes some of the same shape shifting backbone and expands on it with Ashlyn Gere, Rocco Siffredi and Deirdre Holland taking over the lead roles and carrying this story driven, moody feature.
Ashlyn brings here band of pretty people to one of their favorite haunts. Blocking the doorway is a babbling Tim Lake. Rather than pushing him aside, Ashlyn has one of her girls, Fawn Miller take care him. Only in porn is being smothered with huge tits and fucked silly considered a bad thing, and I somehow think Tim really liked it. Fawn is a big girl with enormous, all natural boobs who gives one of her best on screen fucks in this scene. It's dark, it's strange and it sure ain't romantic, but it's a great way to start a movie.

Ashlyn Gere is always hot, so no one should be surprised by her here, however both Deirdre Holland and PJ Sparxx are hotter than ever in this movie. With John Leslie at his very best and Ashlyn Gere in Hall of Fame mode, Chameleons is adult movie making at its finest.

Starring: Ashlyn Gere & Didre Holland are beautiful, sexy and hot. Ashlyn's acting is surprisingly good although she goes over the top several times. (We know she's a bitch, but why???) Deidre's acting is good too. Rocco Siffredi has good chemistry with both female leads but his acting is lame.
This movie is shot on film, which gives it a warm, rich feel. The lighting is beautiful and Deidre's costumes are lovely.
This movie is very sexy. The performers seem to enjoy themselves and although Deidre isn't very vocal, one can tell that she's worked up when performing with Rocco.
The two female leads are, by far, the biggest draw to this film. Ashlyn Gere is a dynamic and beautiful woman. Deidre Holland could simply stand there and earn accolades.
Some of the sex scenes seem a little staged. Not everyone needs to get fucked doggie-style all the time.
Although this film could have been punched up a bit with some anal or other stuff, the female leads alone earn it an 8.

John Leslie keeps with his style which is all his own; surreal, simple story with animalistic sexual behavior, like his Catwoman duo. I don’t think this one is as good as The Chameleons, but has received a lot of attention. Must be because it stars the finest (and it’s natural) body and face to light up the porn screen in the early 90s: Diedre Holland. Her tits and ass are perfect! This flick may not be the most entertaining, but still, a job well done! PR 4+

I was 18 when i saw this movie. It was the first time i saw a porno that was made so fantastic. The 35 mm film they used done wonders for the look and feel of the movie. It made you feel that you were watching a regular movie and not a porno. I had never heard of Deirdre and Ashlyn before until i watched this. They were very Beautiful women and did a really good job of acting. The story plot was really interesting. I wouldve never guessed that the ending would turn out the way it did. It had a few twists in it. Over all i give this movie a 5. I thought they were all great in it.
