The only thing that saves this one from a zero-star rating is the talent -- especially Avy Scott, Pandora Dreams, and Kitten. It would be hard to make a total loser with those three in it, but Bad Seed came close.
How elementary is it that, in cinema, the director's voice shouldn't make it to the sound track? Somebody forgot to tell Brett Maverick that, so I will, and I'll explain why:
One of the main uses of adult movies is "stroking material." In a sex scene, the male viewer fantasizes being the guy in the scene and making it with the girl. Very few of us have such fantasies that include another guy's voice giving directions and making wisecracks, as it really destroys the mood. But that's exactly what happens in this movie, worst of all in Pandora's scene, which didn't seem to go over 15 seconds without that extra voice.
It wouldn't be so bad if it were confined to the scene's intro, but it isn't. And to make it worse, that voice, presumably the director's, is very tiresome because he can't say three sentences without including the comment "oh, my God."
There are other problems -- a couple of the girls show the curse of new millennium porn, the gagging, slobbery, deliberately spitting blow job. But the low rating is due mainly to that extra voice. Brett Maverick shows us that he knows how to make a cute "behind the scenes" extra for a porn movie. What he doesn't seem to know how to make is the scene itself.
