I was really excited about seeing this movie from the Golden age of porn since I had heard about it's high production values and also because it is suposed to be UK actress Suzie Mandel's only hard-core appearance. I'm from the UK and as a child I grew up watching low budget TV like the Benny Hill show which we in the UK never quite took too as much as I believe other countries did, like Japan, Germany, France and the US. One of the many girls in this bawdy sketch show who spent a large part of her time in various states of undress was the 'actress' Suzie Randel. Hence when I thought I would get to see her perfoming in a hard core film I was intrigued and excited.
Unfortunately, this has been a big let down as it is very obvious that all of her scenes involve a body double, and not a very good one at that. All of the oral sex is carried out by a faceless actress in a giant wig where you can clearly see that it's not Suzie. All of the penetration shots never involve seeing her face and the penetartion together. Trust me, I've seen too many porn films to mention and this is faked.
It's made even worse when you consider that the only other female performer in the movie (except for a rediculous group scene played for laughs) is Dora Devon, an actress who whilst capable of delivering lines is not capable of deleivering a hot scene. She is not much to look at either and to say she was over the hill would be putting it kindly.
The film reminds me a touch of the Mel Brooks film 'The Producers' because it's set in New York in the 1970s and it's a satirical farce about the entertainment industry with a stupid sub plot about a missing valuable broach.
Overall, the whole thing is really not worth viewing, despite it's high production values and effort it never gathers any speed. A real dissapointment to this reviewer who is devotee of 70's quality porn.
