Personal Review
Holmes portrays a shipwrecked WW 2 sailor who comes to the rescue of two American nurses held prisoner by a twisted Nazi and his three female assistants. Shot on location on a tropical island, this well produced flick has above average production values, but only average acting. Enjoyable if you can tolerate the silly yet, dead serious story. Nice ending though. Typical Holmes! There are some noteworthy spanking, obedience and submission scenes, plus, some honest, Holmes at his best, love-making. My favorite Holmes flick. PR 4+
Sex Scene Sequence
1. By himself on an island, Joe (Holmes) remembers making love to his Japanese true love, Miko (Mai Lin) before he left on a military mission.
2. While Greta (Sue) holds Gloria’s (Brenda) arms over her head, Urshla (Seka) eats her pussy while the mad Nazi commander, Hans (Mueller), watches.
3. Greta with a gun in her hand orders their newly captured prisoner Joe to eat her pussy. Then, Urshla makes Joe fuck her until he cums on her pussy while everyone, including the Japanese guard, Suke (Jade) watches.

If you have read any of my other reviews you would be forgiven for thinking that any film with Seka in it get's an automatic 'thumbs-up' from me. Add to that the fact that the daddy of all porn Mr J C Holmes is in it too, you should safely be able to assume that it's done and dusted in my eyes. However, that's not quite the case.
Prisoner of Paradise does have that older, shot on film feel to it which elisits so many of those warm memories of beaten up old VHS copies that you hid from your parents throughout your teenage years like your life depended on it. The women have the hairy bushes and less than perfect bodies that Golden Age porn epitomises so evocatively. It's just that there's something that doesn't do it for me with this film.
The film centres around Mr Holmes, a ship wrecked WWII sailor who rescues two nurses from the evil clutches of an Evil Nazi and his sexy assistants (dressed in uniform which i didn't realise I liked previously). There are all the usual couplings you would imagine given the circumstances and it's amazing how Johny's member can bring out the wanton desires amongst every one who gazes up on it's majesty - this is porn afterall!
I guess where it all falls down for me is that it doesn't have that feel to it like some of the real Classics do. It's not well shot, acted or particularly erotic. In fact now I think about it not many of the Golden Age's attempts to do historical porn pieces work that well either.
If you want to see Seka and John Holmes at their best check out 'Rockin with Seka' or even better 'Sweet Alice'.
Buy this is you have a gap in your Seka or Holmes collection.
